The lone robin was sitting in a lilac shrub in the backyard of a suburban home. This yard is approximately 300 yards from the Milwaukee River. The yard appeared to be frozen, although nearly all the snow had melted the warm weekend before. The robin remained in the shrub during the duration of our entire visit - approximately 1 hour.
