Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 12/15/2015

Number: 2

First Ruby Throated Hummer male arrived just before Christmas, then the female arrived at Christmas! I had the pair all "winter" feeding on my Fire Bush. Still around now! (2/26/2O16)

They will stay through March, when the blossoms fade. I've had them with me for 3 Years now. 3 & 4 Years ago, I had a Black Chinned male December through March without a female. But I think the Ruby Throat pair have chased him elsewhere = There was 'tension' between the males.

I am a 65 year old bird lover. My whole house is planted with 'bird food" and "butterfly food". I've lived here for 5 years, and it's paying off!
