In the second week of January I drove to Zmission, Tx to take 18 adults and 72 chrysalises to Bill and Lena Grant to release in more suitable climate. I collected the eggs and caterpillars in December and January. I have also seen adults feeding on blossoms all winter. Our temps hit 32 but not much below. I feel sure that some of them hatched from chrysalises in the wild in my yard or nearby.
