I live between two small lakes. The Bald Eagle was perched high on a branch of a tree next to one of the lakes. The weather had warmed and parts of the iced lake had thawed. The Bald Eagle was turned, facing the lake, with his back to me (I was inside my house, which was a short distance from him). Perhaps he was resting or searching for fish? The weather was overcast (it had snowed earlier in the day) and the time of the sighting was 5:37PM. I took a long-distance picture with my cell phone camera.
