I just saw my first male Ruby Throat nose-to-nose a few minutes ago. I was cutting back the Fire Spike when he showed up, nectared, and "checked me out". My Rufous, Buff-bellied and 3 female Ruby Throats have been gone for a couple of days, so this was a treat!
