Sightings report image

Date: 03/04/2016

Number: 1

We have been having above normal temperatures for most of the winter, with very little snow. My tulips are already more than 4" high and other perennials are starting to show signs of life. A few weeks ago I had noticed some leaves out on my Honeysuckle, but they were under my deck and protected from the elements, especially frost. The other day I noticed many of the leaves are now out on the exposed limbs of the Honeysuckle. It is going to be interesting to see if they survive any winter weather yet to come. March came in like a lamb with temperatures at least 4 or 5 degrees above normal, but we have been under strong westerly Chinook winds.
