Male and Female Coopers Hawks have returned to the nest they built last year in one of the tall pine trees behind our house. She looks pretty "puffy" - maybe pregnant? He chased off a big crow from the backyard - nearly got it. Will keep our cats in from now on. They are probably very hungry and may go for them. Last year they had 2 kids- we watched and heard them grow. They will be with us until about June if it is like last year.
