Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 03/07/2016

Number: 4

Heard robins this morning for the first time this season, and also saw a large flock of them.

I've been hearing them sing their territory song and watch two males having a little chat about who was going to have a certain tree. I know their song well. Hearing cardinals, nuthatches and chick-a-dees all calling out.

I've had them nesting under the eaves on my summer cottage's porch. Last year they fledged in 15 days, then I noticed the chicks in the pine trees.

It's abnormally warm here on the coast of Maine.
