The permanent residents arrived in droves today. The males are fighting for territory in our back yard and singing like crazy on rooftops, while the females check out nesting sites. One particular individual we know from past years (we call her 'stupid') is fascinated with our neighbour's floodlights. Temp 64 F, wind south at 25mph.
