I did have winter sightings of monarchs. Today I saw a large beautiful healthy adult. We are presently in a weather pattern of moist air blowing straight up from the Gulf of Mexico. I wonder if this first Monarch sighted might have caught these winds for the ride north.

Butterfly weed is sprouting but not yet blooming.
