1 Robin bobbing in the sunny south backyard 1 hour north of Calgary.There is lots of skiing and snow in the mountains but We have been snow free for most of this winter and this seems early to see our friend. The last 2 years we have had a nest in our east gardens. A secluded path lined with evergreens that separates the next lot from ours. We have planted many fruit bearing bird friendly trees and bushes and have created quite a wee enclave for nature. We have received a BIRD FRIENDLY designation from the Wildlife society. I encourage YOU to do the same in some small way. It all helps. Plant something they eat...
