I believe this male to have been returning to his accustomed territory in our yard. He seemed to be very familiar with things as he went straight from the feeder to perches on our fence and plum tree. Sadly, the day after his return we had a terrible windstorm with gusts up to 100 k/p/h and we have not seen him since.
