Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 03/12/2016

Number: 1

31 monarch eggs/larvae initially about 3 weeks ago

As of today, March 12, 10 chrysalis and counting. All were created within the past 24 to 48 hours except the black one that's going to hatch soon. The horrible weather earlier this week caused the 31 to scatter. We have been rescuing and relocating them three times a day.

Milk weed was in full bloom until the 31 caterpillars stripped them.
Seedlings are growing slowly. We planted them late.

We have had monarchs all winter but these butterflies never migrated. I have not seen monarchs within the past week and a half.
