Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/16/2016

Number: 1

Monarch feeding on Carolina Jasmine and Red Honeysuckle on my arbor. My wife made the observation. She immediately compared pictures on Google to confirm her sighting. She did say that it was almost as big as a swallowtail and definitely was a Monarch. Yes, we have several types of milkweeds in our wildflower garden that have emerged. One plant is approx. 8" in height and upon inspection I was not able to spot any eggs.
