4 p.m. today, checked the backyard and two robins in the maple tree, looking a bit put off about last night's snow. It won't last long though, because the top few inches of any ground that gets substantial sunlight is thawed. I haven't seen any worms, but before today, there were quite a few flies, spiders and misc. bugs around. I put out some surplus strawberries for the robins. This has to be one of the earliest
