Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/17/2016

Number: 1

My brother texted from the pasture that at 3:00 they watched a female Monarch come up from the south and find some of the A. asperula that was blooming and start to deposit eggs. This is the first Monarch we've actually seen depositing eggs this
spring. About 640 miles north of the sanctuaries, give
or take a zig or zag or two. He said the countryside has a
great deal of nectar sources in bloom for mid March.
