Volunteer observer at the Virginia Living Museum reports that the first Journey North tulips planted in the museum's Children's Learning Garden by Daina Henry were seen blooming today. The Children’s Learning Garden began with Journey North tulips planted in Fall 1998. Our average date of bloom from the first 16 years of data is 3/24, so this year the tulips bloomed] 6 days earlier than average.
