Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 03/18/2016

Number: 1

I cut down my two non-native butterfly weed plants six inches from the soil last November. Sometime in February,
I wasn't really paying attention, I noticed that they had shot up and were blooming. Today, March 21,as I looked out at them I saw a caterpillar eating the leaves on one of them. Three days ago (3/18) I did see one monarch flitting in my yard. But, the two lonely monarchs that laid the eggs must have been here weeks ago.
