The killdeer have returned to Bloomington near the Bloomington Central Station lightrail stop. They hang out near office parking lots and empty lots with low-growing grasses and call to one another. Unfortunately, their habitat days may be numbered, as there are plans for about a half a dozen+ new office buildings where they have been hanging out year after year every spring.
