This is another follow-up photo showing one of the 6 egg-laying monarchs I saw today. She is laying her egg on a low-lying young milkweed plant near some blackberry vines. I didn't see any of the monarchs nectaring today ~ they all seemed very intent on finding milkweed to lay their eggs on.
