This afternoon I walked around in our pastures from about 2:00 - 2:30 pm. I saw 3 egg-laying monarchs in different areas. It was overcast, quite windy, and around 77 degrees F. Humidity was 80% and it felt like it could drizzle at any time. Each of these monarchs rested at times (maybe because of the strong wind). I only got a few distant photos of this one, a lovely faded monarch who found some of the newly emerging milkweed to lay her eggs on.
