We just had a big snowstorm on Tuesday. I was out of town on Wednesday. Yesterday (Thursday), temperatures went up and snow melted a lot. As soon as I got home from work, I heard a robin! Finally!!! Couldn't see it, not without walking through some deep wet snow, but it was a definite robin, repeating a whinny from a treetop just out of sight in the woods. This morning, again I could hear at least two robins.
