Could not get close enough to take a photo, but it was a Painted Lady.....I was mass migration once, so I will keep an eye out today and tomorrow to see if it was the lead ones.......but only one so far.
Things are leafing out.....larch are about half way out....of their groups of greening buds....and many bushes are pushing forth.
This was in our yard in the heavy tall evergreens but in the open....
