Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 04/05/2016

Number: 1

My first hummer of Spring, a Broad-tailed male, arrived around 3pm yesterday, April 5th. Took to feeder immediately, most likely a returning visitor from previous year/years. I put out feeders early and haven't been dissapointed, always "snag me" an early one. Repeated feedings yesterday until 7:25pm and several this morning. We don't have many flowers yet but some bugging available.
It brightened the day. Welcome back!

I know of just two other early shows in Colorado: one in Colorado Springs, the other in Boulder.
