Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 04/05/2016

Number: 1

The large Black-Chin returned today. Saw several sightings from 3pm to dusk. Picture taken between 6pm-6:30 pm before the lack of sunlight caused my Camera not to be able to focus. Smaller Hummingbird did not return at least not to this feeder. I was thinking that the Black-Chin may have established his Territory and chased perhaps the Ruby-Throat away since he was much smaller but too fast for me to see what type he was. Warm today around 84 Degrees with a slight breeze. He still does not seem to be able to feed from the Aspects Feeder yet & I have had to put the Bee Guards in now due to the Honey Bees taking over. He did feed about every 10 minutes from 6pm to 7:15 pm like "clock-work". I hope the purple on his throat shows up on this picture.
