My husband wanted to go outside with me to watch for the Hummingbirds from about 5:45-7 pm. He brought a snack to eat. I told him later he was off (Bird watch duty) as he could not be still & had to keep reaching for his snack scaring the Hummingbirds with too many movements. So with all of that we only saw 1 Hummingbird our Large Black-Chin feed once & then my husband scared him off. He was not hanging around his favorite place in the Vines as he had been. The little Hummer we did not see so maybe the Black-Chin ran him off or maybe he found a better place. Our Hot Lips & Lipstick Salvia are blooming & we did finally find a "Turks Cap" (red Bloom). I do not know if the Hummers prefer the Red or Pink so we bought the Red one. I will try to watch tonight by myself. My husband if not a Fisherman or Bird Watcher. He gets bored, cannot sit still &n is impatient. He does not enjoy the Sport like I do. If they are really active like during Migration he will enjoy that & he does take great pictures. Better than me with the camera as his hand is steadier. He still has not figured the Aspects Feeders out.
