Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 04/07/2016

Number: 1

I saw my first Black Chinned hummingbird flying from my Hackberry tree toward the garden. The feeder hadn't been filled yet but it had plenty of Autumn Sage to choose from. The distance was too far to tell if it was male or female. Since then I've seen some impressive air shows from the male that has chosen my garden as his home. While I haven't seen a female I have seen the flight displays that suggested one was present.
