For years in my yard I observed what I believed Monarch butterflies now and then…and I’ve been seeing them often for the last month (early March)or so. A couple weeks ago a friends of mine from my kitten foster group posted about raising Monarchs gave me some nice advice, so I observe the garden a little more closely. Sunday April 3 I saw many (20+) Monarch caterpillars 1-2 inch long, in the garden, Monday quickly put together a habitat and stocked it with 6 babies ..... that's all that I could find! Today after work 4 beautiful chrysalises Tuesday April 6.
