Around 1 pm, my son saw a monarch nectaring on a yellow thistle (Cirsium horridulum) in our backyard. I went outside and took some photos as she nectared on both the yellow thistle and a flowering milkweed. I did not see her laying eggs. It was a sunny day, with a light breeze, and about 72 degrees F. Later about 2pm, as I went outside briefly, I saw a faded monarch fly past ~ didn't have the time to follow unfortunately. Lovely to see these monarchs and I'm glad there are plenty of wildflowers and milkweed available for them.
