At around 3pm I drove to our post office and saw 2 flying monarchs within a mile of our home. Later, around 5:30pm, I saw a monarch female flying around our front yard and laying eggs. Then around 6:15pm I saw a monarch flying near our barn, but didn't have a chance to get close. It was sunny and breezy throughout this time -- around 78 degrees F. This is a photo of the beautiful monarch finding some milkweed in our front yard and laying an egg. She has a bit of tattering to her wings. So happy she came here!
