For the past week, flocks of robins have been stripping ornamental crabapple trees all around this point in southwest Minneapolis. There are also robins singing (reported earlier), but the big groups appear to be just eating, commonly with 6-12 robins in a small tree, another half dozen on the ground below, and many others in the bare trees around.
