After hearing a robin a couple of weeks ago, I stopped hearing them as the weather turned colder and we got some snow. Finally it's warming up a little and yesterday I watched the emerging lawns for robins during a short 20 mile trip in the car. Nothing. Later, around my house (farther out of town) before supper, I took a walk and spotted a robin finally! That area was still covered by about a foot of snow, but bare patches are getting bigger every day.
