Tulips BLOOMED
Sightings report image

Date: 04/15/2016

Number: 1

We FINALLY have blooms! Our Tulips emerged almost two months ago, but because of the yo-yo weather this spring they have taken a long time to bloom. After having an early warm up in February, our tulips emerged, but stopped growing because of cold weather and two snow storms!
Today we have two flowers that have bloomed and many that will open soon. Animals have eaten some of our tulips since they emerged. We caught a squirrel on our night cam eating our tulips! Today the air temperature is 76 degrees F and the ground temperature is 53. We also discovered that there are tulips that have emerged by a tree about 30 feet from where we planted them. We think the squirrels are to blame for that too!
