Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 04/15/2016

Number: 10

A couple weeks ago I saw a monarch fluttering around my milkweed. Friday morning 4/15/16 I was walking past the plant and there were 12 monarch caterpillars munching away on my one plant. I rushed to the plant nursery and purchased 3 more plants and carefully sat them beside the one plant that was already there. They have continued feeding and have gotten pretty big in just 2 days time. I am so excited to have them back this spring. Last fall I had 2 monarch caterpillars on my plant and watched one build its crysalis and hatch. So amazing!!
