First WILD milkweed sighted today. I have been monitoring a number of sights in parks and roadsides. After several straight 80+ degree days, the first common milkweed (asclepias syriaca) sprouts appeared today in Southridge Park; just a few of them, and all 1-2 inches high. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first Monarchs!
