From 11:15 AM to 11:40 AM I saw the Black-Chinned Males feeding from the Kitchen Window feeder under the eave of the house. During this 25 minute "Time Frame" the males fed a total of 8 times. There was a light sprinkling of rain happening at that time & overcast. Fairly warm but not at all hot. At 4:10 PM a male visited the feeder. Then at 6:35 PM as my husband & I were eating supper outside I Finally saw the female that my husband said he saw on 04/18/16. I had the binoculars with me & could clearly see her feeding. I said "There she is". I also asked him to take a picture of her. He took the picture at 7:20 PM when she returned to feed. Since we have only been seeing the Black-Chinned males I am thinking she must be a Black-Chinned female but I am not certain. She did look rather large & her Beak looked a little "de-curved" so I am hoping someone could look at our picture & email me & let me know. I do not think it is a Ruby-Throated female. We have not seen any mating activity. She came back to feeder again at 7:45PM(that was her last feeding). At 7:55 PM & 8 PM I saw a male return to feed. It did seem a little strange that all 3 Hummingbirds seem to feed at different times. I could not understand how they seem to miss each other. Was this on "purpose" or just a coincidence? Were the males being "polite" tonight? There was no "chasing" going on or any "territorial" activity seen tonight. I hope someone can confirm her "Identity".
