The leaves of birch trees that we observe )(on the playground) have full emerged and reached dime size. Other trees in the area have been full for a while. The cottonwoods (poplar, really) are also leafed out.
It's strange that the birch were ahead of the cottonwoods, but this year has been nothing but strange.
