I saw the first milkweed, in bloom, for 2016, near where I live, along the Clear Fork, Trinity River, about 1/4 mile east of Hwy 183. This was green milkweed, a Texas native. I have not yet seen any adult monarch butterflies so far, this year, despite daily walks along the river.
