After raining a bit this morning, the sun came out in the afternoon, and it was around 75 degrees F. When I went outside I saw a male monarch nectaring on a fresh yellow thistle at the side of our driveway. He spent many minutes doing this, then flew just a few feet away and rested in the grass.
