Just sitting in my back room overlooking my yard...a ravine with the Grand River at its bottom is at the back end of my yard.
I happened to just be watching, and I saw it fly in, and land in one of the trees just beyond my fence. It stayed there perched for a few minutes, then it flew away down toward the river.
I am still in shock, as this is the first time I've ever seen a Bald Eagle here, and only the second time I've seen one in the wild, in my life. Pretty exciting stuff!
I wish I had had the time to get a photo! I will be ready next time!
