Our first tulip bloomed today. Most blooms have not opened up yet however, but look like they will bloom soon!

These tulips, planted by the journey north procedure were controls for other experiments. Interestingly, they bloomed about a week later than the other experiments. We noticed that there is a sign that casts a shadow on them for a short period of the day and wonder if this is the reason. Otherwise they get good sun.
