Sadly to report that I just saw a tiny dead robin laying on my entrance way. Probably 1 week old. Was naked with a few feathers on its wings. No nearby trees around. We know of 3 nests underneath our garage.
Nestling is approx. 1.5 inches long. I think it was still to tiny to fly. Was probably flown away with the wind. We have numerous robins, cardinals, chickadees and other birds in our garden. We feed throughout the year. I feed every morning a full bird seed container at approx. 6 a.m and an hour later the entire bird seed is gone.
