I first saw the barn swallows on Mother's Day. A dairy farmer up the road said they had returned the Friday before May 7,2016, but because I had been keeping my barn doors closed from 3:00 pm till morning I work evenings I didn't know they had returned. The doors aren't closed till I get home 1:00 am so they are now making their nests, and seem very happy.
