Robin (Nesting Behavior)

Date: 05/11/2016

Number: 1

It has been. Very interesting. This pair of robins first started landing beside me in the backyard and sitting on the railings of the deck. They did not fly away when I approached and seemed to follow me even in the front yard. The female started building a nest on my deck only about 5 ft. From my deck chairs. She has now laid her eggs and is nesting..the male is always near by. They never fly away when I am on the deck nor does it seem to bother them when I have company and we are out there. She has been sitting on her eggs for 5 days now. I am really enjoying them. I guess they feel no threat from me ...what an awesome experience and Adam looking forward to the baby robins hatching. I can watch them also from my kitchen window .
