A new generation of monarchs is appearing! I was excited to find two members of the Danaus family in my yard in the greater Phoenix area yesterday. A new male monarch sailed in visiting the flowers and then spent the heat of the afternoon in a nearby tree. Meanwhile a queen butterfly was busy laying eggs on Desert Milkweed, A.subulata. ~Gail (Monarch was in Chandler, AZ in my yard)
