Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/21/2016

Number: 1

One male tended the feeder for a day or two. Then, more came and the fighting began. One male was found on the ground and although he didn't appear to be hurt, he sipped and sipped while being held. It was nearly freezing temps so still unable to fly, he spent the night indoors in my butterfly cage. In the morning, he ate, chirped, tried his wings and then flew away. The fighting continues!
