Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/30/2016

Number: 1

Today at approximately 4:30 pm one monarch fluttered west thru our property about 10' above the ground, passing nearby Asclepias syriaca & continued west behaving like a male, not a female stopping & checking for milkweed.
Our weather has been warm 28°c/82°f. Today was humid, & mostly sunny with light breeze. These temps are expected thru the week.

I did check milkweed for eggs-no eggs on mw. For the past week I have been checking twice a day.

We live just outside of Point Pelee National Park, Canada's most southern mainland point.

I could not retrieve my camera quick enough to get a photo. I rescue, rear, tag & release monarchs & am confident of this first sighting.
