Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 04/26/2016

Number: 4

These larvae are from a lone female's eggs of March 30. They were laid on potted tropical milkweed I grew from seeds during the winter indoors. The milkweed in my garden is very small at this time of March.
I usually put the large larvae into a large aquarium I keep in my carport to help with mortality from spiders. This year I found 4 caterpillars outside, and they all made adults and flew away!
