These are adults from wild-laid eggs on my patio milkweed. I found the eggs March 30, and the first adults emerged May 17. There were 2 males and 2 females, all strong and large and beautiful!
I usually capture the caterpillars when they are large and keep them on milkweed plants in a screen covered aquarium in my carport. 4 eggs made 4 butterflies this year!
