I found this Hoverfly larva on my milkweed plant. I didn't know what it is until my friend Tony e-mailed me and gave the answer. It is an avid aphid eater so I was happy to have him here. I have a wide variety of flies, I'm on a 30 acre horse farm so you can understand the fly situation both good & bad. The biting flies bad.
